on my 2012 mac mini it doesn't load at all. The icon bounces and nothing happens. Any help? I want my XBMC back!

12.1 won't launch for me on OS X 10.8.3. Using a Mid-2010 MBP. I tried both the 32- and 64-bit builds. Changing the speaker configuration in Audio MIDI Setup did nothing. Log below. Re-downloaded 12.0 and it launches fine.

I am not a expert but this looks like it is not seeing / managing the audio devices.
I have Eden on another machine it works like a charm.
Any link to download a previous version while this one gets fixed ?

I have this same problem and understand that a fix will be included in the next release.

My question is more around what is best practice for configuring the Mac Mini and XBMC for sound? I have a 2010 Mini which connects (via HDMI) to my Yamaha RX V1000 which connects (via HDMI) to my Samsung plasma TV. The speaker configuration is 5.1.

My content does include titles that have DD or DTS so I don’t want to cripple down to just 2-channels for audio.

audio - midi setup to 2.0 - xbmc to 2.0 and dts and ac3 capable receiver enabled. This will maintain 5.1 sound for you as its passed through anyways.

Memphiz, another strange thing, only with digital and analog option the party mode music works.
otherwise after 1 song playt xbmc crashes with frodo 12.0 and 12.1.
with digital option sometimes the music stutters at the end of a song. Hopefully this is also fixed in version 12.2
