intel 965 vs 945 low fps on better hw
#1
I have two laptops one a model above the other both on windows 7 but for some reason the HIGHER spec is struggling on higher res video.
Intel mobile 945 with gma 950 graphics = ok
intel mobile 965 with x3100 graphics = horrendous dropped frames
Both new builds and the settings within xbmc are the same so is this likely something to do with xbmc?

I dont understand windows debug logs. However look at your xbmc audio settings to begin with AudioEngine/HOW-TO:_Configure_audio (wiki) A screenshot of your xbmc suido settings and to what its connected to ( tv or receiver) would be good too.

Not sure but does enabling sync playback to display set av sync to drop/dupe and enabling adjust refresh rate to match video and see if it helps. Also make sure on OSD you turn deinterlace to auto or off.

Now all info is here for someone to look at. If the above doesnt work idk.

Disable DXVA and see what happens..

I have tried all combos of vid settings, de-interlace is disabled and now I have even tried ubuntu and get the same behaviour.

Think I'll give up with this machine.
