I have installed XBMCbuntu on an old Mac Mini with an USB external harddrive where I have my videos.
The media center is connected to the TV. Sometimes I want to watch video on my Android phone or iPad because I want to watch something from XBMC while the rest of the family is watching something else on the TV.
XBMC streams the video fine. I use BubbleUPnP on Android and Buzz Player on iPad.
The problem is that it seems XBMC isn't compressing the video at all, so I get a lot of lagging and pausing in the video.
Is it possible to set XBMC to compress the video and/or downscale it before streaming?
I can't find any settings for this.
Thanks for any help (or even a clear answer that this isn't possible, then I have to find an alternative to XBMC).
