For those in the UK. £284

Way too expensive for me. Although interesting to see what the Celeron price is.

me too, i've gone for the intel NUC (847) as it will play everything i have. 2-3 years down the line i'll looking into the options again.

I wouldn't be suprised if we don't see a new celeron version. Doesnt seem to be on their site.

I'd rather it were cheaper and came without the wifi card, to be honest.

Same here, but my comment was made before the price has been shown to be £40 more than the intel i3 nuc, I was expecting a similar price not nearly 20% more

On newegg the price its almost the same, only 10 dollars of diference, but the Brix has USB 3.0 and looks better... just waiting for the reviews to buy one...

Not much good to us in the U.K. Though :-( though as pixmania are the only retailer listing at the moment and are a E.U. Based retailer once it appears elsewhere we may see some better pricing I'm not holding my breath though.

That's good to hear, I was considering the celeron version but I've settled on the i3 and I'm going to treat myself for my birthday next month.

Caved in earlier this week and ordered the i3 version for £224.50 from ebuyer, got a plextor 64gb msata ssd so from ebuyer for £62 and finally 8gb corsair vengeance ram for £36 from Amazon. I know the ram is overkill for what I want but it was only £6 more than 4gb.

All I need now is a chance to get it up and running.

Presumably for the same reason people have been buying the Intel nuc. For me it was the form factor as the thing is tiny. I've started setting mine up and it flies. Just need to set up with my amp and alls good to go.

Because i'm using a universal remote anyways, usb IR receivers don't bother me, and my experience with zotac hardware reliability has been the worst of any manufacturer in over 15 years of being in IT.
