On V16 my external HD was autom. discovered and mounted.
On V17 it does not show up any longer.

You may need a powered USB hub of your drive isn't self powered.

No logs, no issue.

I am facing a similar problem integrating a SATA-USB SDD with my raspberry pi running openelec Kodi.

I am seeing a message upon startup saying that the drive has been recognised by the Kodi system.

However, after opening an ssh connection to the drive and using "df-h" I do not see the drive mounted.

The drive has definitely been recognised by the device. Command dmesg | paste delivers the following URL: http://ix.io/1ZLa.
Here, I can see that:
[2.812032] usb 1-1.2: new high-speed USB device number 6 using dwc_otg
[ 2.825452] Under-voltage detected! (0x00050005)

[ 2.962190] scsi host0: usb-storage 1-1.2:1.0

I'm not sure how to interpret this or the rest of the code in that file, though.

All of the directories listed in this thread are empty. I can't find the SDD anywhere! Please help.

Samuel

Hi everyone,
Been searching for a couple of days now and thought i might bump this thread, i have the exact same prob as described above but, i can't find it when i go into the root drive/folder.

I have a pi with a an external SATA drive (thats powered) connected via usb.

When i turn on the pi, openelec starts and a little notifcation etc appears bottom right saying mounted, but ive been searching through so many /media folders /var /storage folders and all are empty.

Could i depend on the format of the drive? Even thought openelec is "supposedly" mounting it?? I'm confused it has loads of my music on it so i kind've don't really want to reformat it, (if i can avoid it)

Can SSH really help in this situation?? If so, what should i try?

Many thanks in advance!
