TVHEADEND HTSP Client - No Service assigned to channel
#1
Hi Folks,

since yesterday I have some trouble with my XBMC Frontend and TVheadend.

There is no way to get a fresh channel-list into my xbmc. Until a few hours there was only the problem, that there was "ProSieben HD" at the channel "Sky Action" and "ZDFinfo HD" titled in xbmc, but that's "BR HD"....

Now there is now way to get "ProSieben HD" working.

Is there a way to force xbmc to load his channel list completly new from tvheadend?

It would be also a good idea to force tvheadend to build a new channel list. But I won't create a new channel-list manually. Today I spent already 4 hours to sort my channel list. TVHeadend's Webconfiguration is quite uncomfortable and not the best solution to edit channels.

I would really appreaciate your ideas and help.

Problem is to force xbmc and tv to automaticly update/create the manually done channel list of today again.

Thanks.

It's in Settings somewhere - probably under Live TV, "reload EPG data" or similar - sorry I can't be more specific at the moment. If you find it, it will delete all your local EPG and channel data and reload it from the backend.

or the failsafe method: go to the userdata/Databases folder in the "xbmc-user" folder (enable "show hidden folders" in your file browser to locate it) and delete the epg.db and tv.db files.
restart xbmc and you will be asked to enable a pvr client. this will recreate your xbmc-tv database for sure.

Since yesterday I have a similar problem.

Can't view anymore "ProSieben HD". It worked till the last Update for XBMC and TVHeadend.

Deleting the EPGXX.db and TVXX.db didn't work either.

Unmap service in tvheadend then save and map service again and save channel with other name solves it.
This must be a tvh bug !??

Hi,

that didn't work for me.

I made what you suggested, deleted afterwards the TVXX.db and the EPGYY.db, but XBMC says "No service assigned to channel".

And you are playing the "new" channel in xbmc ?

Before:
TV1 <- wont play in xbmc
Unmap service in tvheadend then save and map service again and save channel with other name, "TV1 Test"

Maybe reboot tvh pc first, i can´t remember but it have solved my issues when i had them.

After:
TV1 Test <- should play in xbmc

I did the following:
- Deleted Channel from Channel/EPG
- Go to services and remapped the service "ProSieben HD" + save changes
- Renamed the service in Channel/EPG to "Pro7 HD" + save changes
- Deleted databases for EPG and TV from XBMC
- Restarted the PC or only restarted TVH service
- Started XBMC
- Activated TVHeadend as backend
- The Channel now is named "Pro7 HD" and didn't work

I also tested with TVHGuide on my Android Smartphone -> same problem!

So I think it's a TVH problem, not a client problem.

Try deleting the channel again, then map it but don't change it's name. Also assign a channel number to it. Then reset the PVR database in XBMC and try again. I fail to see why this wouldn't work. If all else fails I guess you have to redo your channel list completely.

Last tip did the trick! I deleted the whole TVH directory (/home/hts).
