FRODO: Ubuntu Crashes when selecting Video
#1
When selecting from the main menu - Video - Files - Films the application crashes a second after opening the list of files.
The "Film" source is /Media/Video and is RWX for everyone. I have uninstalled/purged/reinstalled with the same result.
I have a source called /Media/Video/Series and this doesn't crash when selecting from the Video/File source.
The Movies menu works fine.

The segfault should not happen

Are you sure the graphics driver is correct?
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

It crashes when trying to extract thumbnails. You can disable this function or isolate the file which causes the issue. Enabling debug logging is a good idea Smile

Thanks I will try both options here. The driver is the stock ubuntu, and I admit I dont know which. Its not the NVIDIA one though

I found the offending file. It failed to extract a thumbnail as you suggested. Thanks for the feedback this has been bothering me for ages!
