It seems to use DLNA for streaming, if XBMC supports that then yes it will work.

I think you are better reading the page you pointed to

in my experience those NAS units that work like that are usually garbage. the only way i can see that being beneficial is if you dont actually have a computer. if you do, sav yourself some money and just hook a 4TB hard drive up to an actual computer, or buy an real NAS. If you're someone who just wants to browse photos or listen to MP3s, something like that would do everything you'd want, but since you're posting this on the plex forum, im guessing thats not right. anyway, hope that helps.

better (if you can) spending 200 pounds on something else IMO
2tb hard drives on amazon are cheap atm.
you could install 3 of them for roughly the same price (depending on devices and limitations of hardware)
as I dont know what devices you run this may not work out for you - but is a thought.
