I am currently reading and searching for information /instructions to allow xbmc to read a set of custom tags from my mp3 collection.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to figure out how to do this, thank you.

Ok So xbmc has no method of reading mp3 Txxx tag's at all then ?
Well that's good to know. I will have to keep looking for a better media manager.

If you want XBMC to read non-standard tags, then yeah, you have to do the work yourself. Most media centers (we don't manage media, we simply display it and play it back) are the same.
