So i downloaded XBMC on an old PC and it crashes. Just blinks a black screen and closes itself. The task manager shows it run and disappear.

My specs are:

AMD Athlon XP 3200+

NVidia Geforce 6200

2 GB of ram

This is the LATEST stable release

Most probably your graphics card is not powerful enough to handle xbmc. Updating the drivers may help.

Late reply but:

the wiki says the geforce 6 series is supported (6200) and drivers are the latest.

Found a temporary solution. The stable release crashes, but nightlies work for me[/quote]
