A slightly concerned XMBC newbie here. Bought myself an Intel NUC i3 w/ integrated HD4000 specifically for dedicated HTPC duties. Spent a while sorting my media library so it scrapes seamlessly and then a while configuring the remote. Finally had an extended play with the audio delay issue (bug?) @ 24p.
Several days later I actually watched a film...well actually I've now watched four films and each one has experienced the same issue.
Towards the end of the film XMBC suddenly minimizes/the desktop appears - XMBC is still playing the film, the sound is still playing and I can hit the green button on the remote and return (albeit at 60Hz not 24Hz), but I'd rather not have my films interrupted like this!
This line in the debug file seems to be the key: WARNING: DXVA - decoder problem of status 2 with 255
In terms of configuration XMBC is configured to use DXVA2 renderer as this means my CPU utilisation is between 1-5% on average and the whole experience is much more snappy. I can use software rendering but its noticeably slower and also has nasty side effects when skipping through the film and stop/starting - takes a couple of seconds to sync up - generally feels more sluggish.
