Solved H55N-USB3 w/PCIe Video Catch-up problem
#1
In case anyone else runs into this issue I wanted to share my discovery.

I have an ATI Radeon 5450HD installed in my H55N-USB3 motherboard, and use that for video instead of the onboard graphics. At some point I noticed that every 20 minutes exactly that the video would freeze and then speed up to catch the audio which continued uninterrupted. I tried everything to fix this, even reinstalled the operating system to no avail.

What finally fixed this was to re-enable Onboard VGA in the BIOS settings, for whatever reason this was causing the problem with the output on the ATI PCIe card.

From the factory this option is already on. However, in attempt to resolve a different problem many months ago, I disabled it and never thought anything of it.

Maybe I'm the only one, but wanted to share with anyone else...since the solution evaded me for so long and still doesn't really make sense.
