Awhile back a setting was added to let us set subtitle position -- not just at top or bottom of screen, but at top or bottom of the VIDEO -- i.e., for a 2.35 movie, we could position the subs at the bottom of the image rather than in the black bars at the bottom of the screen. This was a lifesaver for those of us with 2.35 screens.
But afaik there is no such setting for the OSD, which seems very strange. Thus the player controls and the timebar are cutoff when we're watching 2.35 movies.
Is there a way to set this that I'm overlooking? Otherwise I will put in a feature request to add settings for this, or at least to have it follow the setting we've chosen for subtitles.
