Release Keymap Editor (configure remote in GUI)
On Helix 14.0, the add on has suddenly stopped working for me. The file it generates in keymaps is still there. However, when i edit my presets, the previous keys do not show with the combinations (key ids) saved. What could cause this bizarre behaviour ? Any ideas would be appreciated.

Running on mac os 10.10
Macmini Server 2011 i7 Quad Core, OS 10.8.2, Amp Onkyo TX-SR308 USB WD drives 3x2TB TV Samsung Plasma 720p EyeTV Integration

I am running Helix 14.0 (kodi-20141224-5b3cc1e-pocc++11-x86.apk) on a Nexus Player and the Keymap Editor settings are not being saved.
The buttons are being successfully detected: http://i.imgur.com/Qqrq5IL.jpg
However after saving and exiting, when you go back the fields are empty as nothing has been saved: http://i.imgur.com/SLIEPb1.jpg

Thumbs Up
Wow!!! What an useful add-on - I started to fiddling around with keymap.xml but this piece of code made it sooo much easier to configure my remote. Big Cheers to Takoi!!!! Works flawlessly with my Mele F10 Deluxe / Openelec 5.0

Hopefully it gets fixed, a Redditor suggested this Play Store App - https://play.google.com/store/apps/detai...predefiner
It worked for me, I was able to map the extra couple of buttons I really needed after a little messing around.

Hi, as im gonna update soon my systems all to kodi i wanted to ask if its possible to backup the mappings so i could restore them later.

or may a hint where the edited files are located on openelec, thanks ahead Wink
Love this addon!

Unfortunately having trouble with the following:

1. How can I assign a key to open the subtitles dialog in full screen playback (search for and download subs)?
2. Some keys are either not recognized (see my thread here: http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=213210) or falsely recognized (see my thread here: http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=213207).
anyway in kodi to install older version? like 0.97 it let me map my actual play/pause buttons and my ff/rr buttons on the new keymap editor it doesnt notice them

Look for the zip in $HOME/.kodi/addons/packages and copy it to home
Uninstall the current version
Manually install the zip file you copied
i found it it was from geebox says the zipfile does not have the right structure? if you want me to email you the zip i will just tell me where, i will try and manualy put it where you said but the directory you said is hidden i forgot how you make xbmc show hidden directorys
ok i manualy put the zipfile in there but it is not showing up i also tried installing it said wrong structure?

SAME FOR ME.. HOW DO I SAVE IT?!? Confused Running FireTV Kodi 14
It doesn't work. I ended up manually making the keyboard.xml file in the userdata file. Atleast the remote keymap id code the keymap program said was the same, That was frustrating as heck.
Works good.
