[OLD/CLOSED] PseudoTV Live - Set-Top box solution
Question 1:
I configured a few of my hd homerun channels through pseudoTV. Works on my WinPC's perfect, but on my raspberry Pi, i just get audio. Can I stream from my prime to Pi? I gotta do anything special to get it to work?

Question 2:
Ever since I installed PTVL, I noticed my XBMC randomly starts muted. Only way to fix this is to physically to up to my HTPC and hit '+'. Why does it do this and how can I stop my XBMC from starting muted (top middle of screen is speaker w/ red X)
You need the codec license to get video on the r-pi. I think just the MPEG-2 license is needed, but I saw someone suggest getting the VC-1 as well.
I've installed PseudoTV into XBMC 12.2 on a Windows 7 machine and everything seems to be working except the Advanced Channel Rules. Is there a trick to entering Channel Rules or is this feature no longer available?

Does this help? - http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=136244

Q3:
I attempted the skin, didn't like it, and reverted back. Somewhere in the process, I did something, and I can no longer see the buttons in the top left corner when changing channels. Input is still accepted, I just can't see the '11' when i type in '11'. What file/setting can I change to get this back?

Q4:
I have my 'channels shared' through path substitution where I can edit settings2.xml and it'll update across XBMC's. What does the setting "Enable Channel Sharing," do? And what is the folder it wants me to select? Is my path substitution the same thing?

Delete skin folder, copy new one over.

I don't think the advanced channel rules are working. And as for the link, I believe in the first or second post it's mentioned that 3rd party channel managers don't work with this program.

Love the app, keep the updates comin!!!

a few Suggestions/Wishlist:
Allow user to select number of rows in guide (txt can be too small)
add a 'previous channel' key

Thanks Lunatixz; I hope they get this feature working.. BTW: Just to let you know... the 3rd party "PseudoTV Manager" does work and I was able to setup my channels so that multiple TV show/channels (i.e. The Family Guy, South Park and The Simpsons) all showed up consecutively on a single "Cartoon Channel" that I created.
Don't know if you saw my previous post, wondering if you had any thoughts. Not sure how the EPG works on the tv guide add-on but might be similar.

I read a few pages back where you explained how the EPG works, for sync workaround would it be posible to dumb down the EPG/XMLTV and only use a time stamp? Instead of verifying each show, just match up the XMLTV time with the add-on.
I realize there would be errors, but from my limited knowledge as long as your XMLTV was updated recently it should be very close.

As for media features none that I can think of looking great!

Good day,

I have added streams from Justin TV (through the JTV plugin) and they work within Pseudo TV, but sometimes when changing channels, it tries to seek out a new start point in the stream (seek +1:07 for example) which makes XBMC crash (note that seeking forward or backward in Justin TV streams within the JTV plugin itself also makes XBMC crash). Is there a way to tell Pseudo TV to always start those channels at 0:00 (i.e. at the present time in the live stream)?

Thanks,
Great Addon Big Grin

Hoping someone can help me with this one.
For some reason the EPG duplicates the Channels down the list. I would like to remedy this.
Happy to post config files if required.

Cheers
Evan

Check your settings2.xml configuration...If you only have 1 Channel setup it will repeat that channel to fill data...

Yeah, that's normal for "real time" configuration... I thought I disabled it for plugins... can you send me an example of the link you're using...

I'm aware that some mangers load data, but It will not read any new channel info, and could break or corrupt your settings2.xml...

I appreciate your support, all changes have to support the current framework...
Since a timestamp isn't a part of PTV, then this will not work...

I already located the problem keeping EPG out of sync for LiveTV... But the fix isn't easy... and my time is limited... When I get some time I will get back to fixing it!

Thanks Lunatixz for the quick response.

Good to know. I was only testing with a couple of channels.

Thanks again.
No problem, just a thought. Thanks!
