[OLD/CLOSED] PseudoTV Live - Set-Top box solution
Yeah I store my media like that too.
I'm trying to setup a wifi cam stream like this:

<setting id="Channel_8_type" value="9" />
<setting id="Channel_8_1" value="5400" />
<setting id="Channel_8_2" value="rtsp://192.168.1.52:554/mpeg4" />
<setting id="Channel_8_3" value="Baby Monitor" />
<setting id="Channel_8_rulecount" value="1" />
<setting id="Channel_8_rule_1_id" value="1" />
<setting id="Channel_8_rule_1_opt_1" value="Baby Monitor" />

If I put the network address in VLC it works fine but for the life of me cannot get it to work in PTV Live. Did I configure this correctly? Also tried an http stream also and verified it through VLC and no go.

P.S - Thank you lunatiz!! Testing out the capabilities of this plugin and if I can get it working like its meant to, I will diffidently be donating. I dream of plugins like this and just need to learn how to use it to its full potential.
Hey Luna, this XML file causes PTV Live to crash due to some other formatting.
I wasn't able to get it to run even by choosing ANSI. The problem lies with channel ID
Code:
www.timefor.tv/tv/221

When I assign a channel this ID, the EPG will be empty for this channel and crash afterwards.
A solution here would be interesting, as probably many other non-english speaking users will want to use PTV.

If you could take a look into the XML file I sent you earlier, maybe you can isolate the problem.
Good luck
Luna - I have searched the thread for "skin widgets" and was only able to find one response where you suggested disabling the script. My question is does using PTVL queue watched or partially watched shows in the sking widgets add-on by Martijn? Can anybody test and confirm? thanks

Use latest master, setup two channels in ptvl using your epg.xml

send me the setting2.xml, crash log from the two channels....

Code:
/TVshows/Hell on Wheels/Season1
                       /Season2
                       /Season3/Mediafile.ext

I ask because I would like to add an option to download missing local art when its queued for display in the EPG or Overlay... Problem is making sure I save the file to the correct location...

The majority of my media is stored like this, although I do have separate folders for Kids TV and Adult TV. The only difference would be shows that have only one season or not organized yet are just in the show folder.

@MovieJunky
Not sure if this helps but I noticed in your settings2 file that channel 73 did not have a type value = and channel 74 does
<deleted original post>
Edit: Oh my lord earlieb, it was wrong! You are totally right and this fixed my problem I think. It works for now!
Many thanks! Goes to show that four eyes see more than two.

Edit2: I might have to edit yet again, as the file originally causing the problem was correct after all and I have to copy/paste to see if that works.

Edit3: Yes, here is the original settings2.xml, which causes the EPG to freeze once I scroll to a certain channel.

See any errors here earlieb?

THis is the error log:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/8u6kc3m897unn14/xbmc.log
It seems like it crashes when scrolling the EPG to Channel 71.
Have there been any news on how to offset time of USTVNOW or how are you in the States (West Coast i. e.) dealing with the time discrepancy between Pacific Time and Eastern Time (Source of the USTVNOW stream I guess)

MovieJunky, from first glance settings2 looks ok did you clear out your cache once you went back to the original settings2 file if you did check the playlist for channel 71 and see if there is data in it

Looking at your other posts, I see what you mean by the channel id i think you're right. I'm not sure how your xmltv file looks as it may not be able to pick up on this when it searches. See what Luna says about this. This one has got me.

earlieb
Channel 71 is LiveTV, so not a playlist. After deleting the channel from my settings2.xml and deleting the cache folder, the EPG now seems to refuse to show
programming for the first channel and crashes. Need to reinstall PTV to get it to work again, so something must be going horribly wrong. Big Grin

I would post my EPG XML publicly, but I have to pay money for it, (I know, sucks) so they forbide me to publish it.
Here a logfile of only LiveTV channels and crashing upon showing the EPG.
Always the first channel that appears empty.

Please don't use master, till I bump to v.0.2.1

I don't know... obviously you need to know the correct link to the camera.
My foscam works great with PTVL. Go to your makers troubleshooting forum i'm sure there is plenty of topics on the subject. You want something that's http: and includes your username:password.
