[OLD/CLOSED] PseudoTV Live - Set-Top box solution
HAHA I broke Youtube subscription and playlist.... , but figured out where my mistake was... Smile

Before I flood this thread with unnecessary posts about why my channel line up isn't working, is there a tutorial on how to edit your settings2.xml file? I'm a beginner with xml, and would like to better understand how to add in channel options like "watched only" content, or using pre-exsting playlists.

Thanks in advance.
Git updated, let me know how the new Youtube/RSS parsing is working...
I removed "file limit" setting for youtube/RSS. The setting3 "_3" switch is the only limit setting, if left blank a default value of 50 is used (max = 1000). I also removed strm/nfo generation.

Just update to the latest from Git.

Youtube channels came up right away, so did the pvr channels.

Still no local media and other internet channels.

Not having any luck with playlists, don't know about subscriptions..... Undecided When building it shows some info real quick about the channel for the playlist, but no actual channel in the epg.
Builds a m3u in cache for the channel as well but nothing in it. Maybe its just me, I don't know... Never had playlists working in earlier versions either. User names work no problemo though.

OK i cant get this to work. If i use live streams it works perfectly but if i create a TV chanel based on Network from my current library, it starts to configure the channel on load, starts to populate it and then black screens and goes no further. I really dont understand the problem as Psuedo TV works flawlessly and i'm doing nothing different than i would using that plugin.

I've tried deleting all settings files etc and as soon as I create a channel based on Network it does the very same thing. Any ideas ?

I enabled debug but that shows little info on what the problem may be

Heres a snippet from the only log entries that may be causing issue

Heres the full log

http://pastebin.com/btXZhzgZ

Ive tried it many times now with the very same results. I've deleted the settings folder, recreated new channels (3 i think in this config). Ive tried a different skin, disabled all my plugin services and even tried different builds. All with the very same results.

I'm using xbmcbuntu

As i say, the very same steps, using PseudoTV vanilla works perfectly and the channels populate as they should. And internet streams works flawlessly on your build.

I'm having a problem with an EPG for 1 channel. Here is the channel setup.
Code:
<setting id="Channel_5_type" value="8" />
    <setting id="Channel_5_1" value="I1045.223774507.microsoft.com" />
    <setting id="Channel_5_2" value="plugin://plugin.video.ustvnow/?name=My9&mode=play" />
    <setting id="Channel_5_3" value="ustvnow" />
    <setting id="Channel_5_rulecount" value="1" />
    <setting id="Channel_5_rule_1_id" value="1" />
    <setting id="Channel_5_rule_1_opt_1" value="MyNetworkTV" />

When I try and incorporate the proper EPG data, the channel does not load and the only message in the log I can find about it is the following:

06:59:26 T:6844 ERROR: script.pseudotv.live-ChannelList: Unable to get information about channel 5

When I look in my ustvnow.xml file I see lots of valid data for the channel. Here is an snippet example of valid data as it hasn't happened yet.

Code:
<programme start="20131219230000 -0500" stop="20131219233000 -0500" channel="I1045.223774507.microsoft.com">
        <title lang="en">King of the Hill</title>
        <sub-title lang="en">Rodeo Days</sub-title>
        <desc lang="en">The rodeo comes to town, and Bobby shames his family when he fails at calf-roping and succeeds at being a clown.</desc>

Now this same ustvnow.xml file is able to load the data for the rest of the USTVNOW channels, just not this one troublesome channel. Wondering if there is more debugging I should put on or any insight anyone might have as to what the problem may be?

I have a fix for this. There is an uninitialized variable. If you add self.mountedFS to the def __init__ it works.

Code:
diff --git a/resources/lib/VideoParser.py b/resources/lib/VideoParser.py
index ae8d6fc..63fa9a1 100644
--- a/resources/lib/VideoParser.py
+++ b/resources/lib/VideoParser.py

         self.FLVExts = ['.flv']
         self.TSExts  = ['.ts', '.m2ts']

     def log(self, msg, level = xbmc.LOGDEBUG):

I've figured out a work around to my problem, even though I'm not sure why. I created a separate mc2xml batch to download the one channel and keep it in a separate .xml file. When I load that, it loads fine. Perhaps a parsing error in the XML reading routine? Any log files I can provide to help narrow down the issue?
