::Update::

Exciting new features coming with BCT's...

For commercials an "Internet" option (for donors only) will allow auto population of commercials based on user selected region and year. It will also include 720p, 480, 360 Video resolutions...
An option for "Local" commercials and youtube commercials are also available to all users. "Local" will populate based on files found in a selected folder.
Youtube will have full types available (Channel, Playlist, User Subscription) for user configuration...

All BCT's are interleaved between programs automatically, no need for nfos, or special channel configurations...

Since rewriting BCT's from the ground up, I've almost completely eliminated user collection responsibility. Any users without trailers, and commercials will be able to experience these features solely by internet or youtube sources...

Bumpers on the other hand need to be broken up by network, ATM this will require a user video collection.
If anyone knows of a good "Internet" source for bumpers that are already broken up by "network" please PM me the details...

Hey Luna, Any thoughts on this? I know you'd mentioned network permissions before, does pseudotv require anything special? The files are shared over samba and this is openelec running on a raspberry pi.

Thanks!

I can't possibly tell you (as I don't have a raspberry pi) if this is a problem unique to it. I can safely say this problem is usually with file permissions.

If I were you I would, delete your xbmc database and sources.xml
on your server I would click on your media folder, making sure not to include "child" permissions" declare a new owner and create full permissions to "everyone"
recreate all souces in xbmc using smb and including your administrator username:password and IP not host name, ie (smb://user:[email protected]/movies/)
in xbmc open those folders, make sure they display files...
then scrape media...

Right off the bat I see you're not following my "recommended" configurations tips in Post 2!!
your json response is a mess...
after that all I see is no channels are populating... and no errors to why (which usually means no media was found). I would read post 2 and follow all tips...

Thats the point, pstv acts like there is no media because they have non english characters in plot or title. In xbmc they work great.i have read post 2 and the whole forum about pseudo because i use it all the time. Now at the same laptop i installed version 1.9 and all works great.I wonder if i could find previous versions e.g 2.1 to see where the problem occured.
Anyway thanks Luna for the great work you have done
Happy new Year!!!

Happy new year aswel,
So it works with 1.9 but not the new build?? because your plots in greek not english?

I'm very busy finalizing BCT's so anything new has to be fixed down the road...
I apologize... any "non-English" problems will be addressed after the final build is released...

Hey luna, just got hulu plus and every video asks me to choose a quality setting before playing, unlike the free version. That happen on your end?

It sounds like from what you're suggesting there's an issue with the mount in xbmc in general, but xbmc is opening and playing all of my media just fine (can browse to it in files view, watch it, etc.). Does the fact that this works suggest it's not a network perms issue? Or is there another layer (specific to pseudotv) where things may be going awry?

Thanks for the help!

smb file access in PTV is pretty well tested... So if you feel your setup is 100% correct. Then it maybe a path translation problem unique to rasberrypi and xbmc.

I don't know why PTVL would find your files but be unable to read the metadata in it...

Hey Luna, thanks for the reply. Path looks fine (though it doesn't seem to do any translating). For example in these lines the path looks correct:
