Just wanna to know is their a video or article or step by step guide on how I can upgrade 12.2 frodo xbmc to my apple tv 1? Kinda new to this so I am sorry if is on the wrong thread ... Would love the help.

Frodo requires a Linux-based OS. Both Crystalbuntu ( http://crystalbuntu.com ) and OpenELEC ( http://openelec.tv ) are good options for the ATV1.
