Certain movies not being recognised by TMDb scraper even with entries on website
#1
After much hassle, I've finally managed to get most of my movies added to the Movies section (even most of the Tokusatsu movies with some editing of the relevant information done, name-wise), but now I have a new problem in that now some of the movies in my Movies folder aren't being recognised at all even though they're on the TMDb website, and in one case, is being recognised by the TMDb scraper as a completely different movie!

The movies that are affected are the following even though I've given them the exact correct names according to their entries on the TMDb website:

Tomica Hero - Rescue Force Explosive Movie Rescue the Mach Train! (Technically, the title should actually be "Tomica Hero - Rescue Force Explosive Movie: Rescue the Mach Train!"
Samurai Sentai Shinkenger vs. Go-onger - GinmakuBang!! (Originally titled "Samurai Sentai Shinkenger vs. Go-onger: GinmakuBang!!"
Engine Sentai Go-onger vs. Gekiranger

Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger - The Fire Mountain Roars(aka "Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger: The Fire Mountain Roars") has its own unique problem in that even though it's got its own entry on the TMDb website, for some weird-ass reason, the scraper for it keeps insisting that it's a completely different movie, even though I've changed the relevant information for the name according to said website!

Has anybody ever come across a problem like this before, and if so, how did they fix it?

Create NFO files by hand, or use something like Ember Media Manager to create them.

I supposed I can give that a go although in all honesty I'm still puzzled as to why all the other Tokusatsu movies got recognised without a problem and yet the ones listed didn't even though they were already listed on the TMDb website and were correctly named as well.

well if you really want to sort it you will need to post a debug log of scanning for those titles.
If I have helped you or increased your knowledge, click the 'thumbs up' button to give thanks :) (People with less than 20 posts won't see the "thumbs up" button.)

I'll post one later today.

Get an acount with TMDb, and edit the movie.
Some movies needs a RELEASE YEAR to be picked up.
You also have to change the title of your movie to include that year in brackets.
Then wait for 24hours, and rescan that movie.

I'll give that a try instead of doing the NFO's although I'm still puzzled as to why the Gaoranger movie would be scraped completely wrong... I'll post a message about that on their forum.

EDIT: I managed to get the two "vs." movies finally showing up after editing the relevant information although the Tomica Hero Rescue Force still isn't appearing even after editing that one AND the Gaoranger movie still appears in the Movies section as "Spencer's Mountain"!

In the meantime, I'm going to do a post in the relevant thread for the TMDb scraper to let them know about this.
