XBMC refuses to play any video file that uses the .mp4 or .mov codec without an active internet connection, i found this out by accident when i lost my net for 2 days because of a fault and it just stopped playing anything done with either format, everything else played fine, not only that when i finally got my net back 2 days later XBMC then played the video files fine, just to test it i actually disconnected my router from the phone line but left it connected to my pc and switched on and yet again XBMC stopped playing anything done in mov or mp4 format, i even installed a codec pack just in case it would help but still it wouldn't play them but media player classic plays them perfectly without any net connection so why does XBMC need an active net connection to play these formats?
