I'm ALL for HEVC improving efficiency in FUTURE content, but transcoding any h.264 content to HEVC, when most of that content was ALREADY transcoded from h.264 to h.264 once already sounds... Dumb. 3rd generation encoding to 'save on hard disk space'? No. :X Besides, files aren't gonna get smaller. Files NEVER get SMALLER. Even those that encode standard def material, when going from XviD to h.264, they aren't like 'Yay, our files will be smaller now' it's 'Yay, we can get more out of the 200~mb per episode that we've already used!' If anything, files keep getting larger, even at the same resolutions. :X
