Update, a reboot of the server fixed the issue.
I have Mepo TVserver setup with 2 Hauppauge HDPVRs and everything works with the Mepo client. I setup the Mediaportal pvr client for xbmc and I can watch liveTV on one tuner, but on the other it fails. I have timeshift pointing to the same directory that is shared(that is why one tuner works). The errors in the log is
