I need some help, when I download new movies on to my computer. Then start up XBMC it says it is search for new contents but it dosen't pick up any of the new movies I have downloaded? Confused

I now have a heap of new movies but no covers or info.
Can anyone tell me why this maybe?

we need a debug log (wiki) to see whats happening or what's not happening,
did you read the wiki (wiki) to look how you should ad movis to your video library ?

Hi TRaSH,
Thank you for taking the time to try and help me I did read the wiki. I worked out how to enable the debugging. I worked out how to get to the program but that is as far as I got couldn't find Get More or XMBC Log Uploader. The version I have is 2009 so I am wondering if it would be easier if I just update the version I have.
If I do this I should not lose all my movie but I will have to re-download all the movie covers, info etc. is that correct?

What you mean with you got the 2009 version ?
You can also upload the log without the log uploader.
Just copy paste it.
But not in here ;-)
Only the link to the log.

The XMBC version I am using is XMBC 9.11 r26017 2009.
And sorry but I don't know how to get to the log.

Sorry but that version is long overdue. We only support version 11.0 and up.

You can upgrade but be sude to backup your userdata (wiki).
If you are using older hardware you may be out of luck because newer version just won't run anymore
