Yes, I'll make some tests and let you know. This is actually exactly what I've had on my mind: to save in-game saves to <userdata>/addon_data/<emulator>/save/, great!
Please consider adding a toggle for the "autosave" feature. Probably should be in the same place as the "rewind" support.
