I've been using ATV2 and XBMC for more that a year, occasionally, I had to use boot tethered, but today is not working.
I click on booth tethered in Seas0nPass and do all my steps successfully, then I plug my HDMI back in ATV2, it's still blinking.
Yesterday, I was able to boot my ATV but then still couldn't log in XBMC, it would always return to main screen.

Any idea what is the heck is going on here?

Have you unplugged the powercord?

I did, I've done it before and it worked.

Then the only suggestion i have is to re-jailbreak.
But before, try one last time just to be sure the ATV didn't get stuck in DFU mode
