Hi everyone first time posting here and I just got a Microsoft surface rt tablet n I was wondering if the xmbc will work on the tablet it has windows 8 and my buddy and I cant find anyone that knows so i hope I can find some help here let me know thanks

If it's a Surface RT AFAIK it isn't running Windows 8 , it's running Windows RT and, no, I don't think there is an XBMC build for that. Surface Pro OTOH I assume would work.
