Frodo 12.2 with MySQL remote DB not working on Samsug Galaxy Tab3 10.1

Hi,

I suspect this might be a simple problem but I can't figure it out. I recently purchased a Samsung Galazy to replace an aging iPad 1 and I use it as a TV for the bedroom.

I followed the install instructions for XBMC on Android and it does start up correctly.

However I have a number of XBMC devices all syncing to a MySQL server. I just copied over the advancedsettings.xml and sources.xml files to the directory specified in the FAQ.

With that change it never starts up. It goes to a black screen and eventually I get a message saying the app is not responding. The xml files work fine on all the other devices.

My initial thought is it locking up trying to contact the MySQL server or something like that but I don't really know what the solution might be. Some firewall thing perhaps?

Any ideas?
