RaspBMC Kodi/XBMC test builds

10 seconds sounds like the watchdog timeout (which is 10 seconds) after a hard system freeze... Wink

Kodi 18.3 - Vero4k, Raspberry Pi 2. OSMC.

Okay, there were some camera changes that affect jpeg encode.
Any better with those reverted:

That seems to fix it!
Well, at least when trying to reproduce it one time, but it has ben easy to reproduce it though so looks promising.

Okay, I've had a different report that start_nopll fixed a similar problem, so I want to be sure:

This just reverts camera and not PLL. Is it okay?

The last one also seems to work.

Well, I didn´t think of trying other stuff, I just tried to reproduce it.
But playing HD videos does not seem to work very good. Very slow, almost impossible to seek and a couple of XBMC crashes.
I do have a mix now though (your latest start + 30th March fixup), perhaps not proper.

Should I try anything else or is this expected?

Edit: Nvm, it´s an out of memory crash and certainly caused by the 128/128 split. Will revert until firmware is updated.

No, mixing xbmc and firmware shouldn't be a problem (within the last few weeks).

So, can you confirm the slow video only occurs with these test builds/latest and was okay with:

I think it´s an out of memory problem, you mentioned it had a fixed 128/128 split so it´s probably that.
It is reporting only ≈120 and I am probably on to heavy skin etc. for that.

Curious though, why 128/128?

And yes, it works perfectly fine on older firmware (with my custom split).

The first bug report I had was from a 256M Pi, so I made that split.
I've been able to reproduce the memory corruption. If I can fix it without reverting the camera change I'll make the next test build 256/256.

Okay this has no reverts, but I've attempter to fix the camera commit:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3669...nocam3.elf

It is also a 256/256 memory split. Is this okay?

Yep, seems to work fine. Tried it twice (added a single new movie and highlighted to fetch the artwork) to make somewhat sure.
And playing HD content works well too.

Where can I find this update or is it implemented in 0404-version ?

You can manually download firmware file (start_x.elf) and switch it with the files on your CD card.

But I´ll post a new build soon with this fix too.
