Intel NUC - Haswell (4th Generation CPU)
Its common on many OSes these days with computer boot times getting quicker and quicker. I had forgotten that setting.

Newegg has the i5 back in stock at $360: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6856102052. Just scooped one up myself.

You are a bad bad bad man! I thank you for it, I have an i5 on the way now! :-) I think this one will receive a smaller SSD though and 8gig of memory is almost certainly overkill too.

Is anybody else having trouble with audio lip-sync? I have to change to Ahead by: 0.250s.

Using latest lmyllari build and set "Adjust display refresh rate to match video" to Always. It stays quite in sync when this option is set off.
Tried a lot but nothing works except tuning Ahead by: 0.250s..
I play my movies from SMB share, wired.

PS. My power-off only works without boot when energysettings in xbmc are set to suspend.

Anyone know if the included IR sensor will work for an xbox 360 controller?

If it works with Lirc I believe it can be made to work.

There is one more solution I have not try; connect hdmi to other monitor/tv. But this require some investments etc. So my OE stays on all time Smile as I cannot wake it up from remote.

I have the exact same problem. My old tv is only 720p and not full hd. I don't know if that is the problem but i hade the same on the first gen nuc. I hooked the nuc up to another tv and i could get in the bios right away.

It works I'm using it right now. The only problem is you can't power up NUC by this remote.

My TV is also some old Panasonic plasma and I guess its older hdmi and that is why it does not klick right with BIOS interface.

Ok great. Did you just follow the instructions at the URL BLKMGK? I don't have my NUC yet, so just making a note for later.

Xbox remote (black one I have) works out of the box if you put some code into autoexec.sh to enable IR receiver.

Code:
# IR fix
modprobe -r nuvoton_cir
echo "auto" > /sys/bus/acpi/devices/NTN0530\:00/physical_node/resources
modprobe nuvoton_cir
