comments to help translator was not imported to transifex
#1
I don't know if I had a mistake, but I added some comments to my english strings.po file (https://github.com/realtebo/plugin.video...strings.po

My goal was help translators to understand the goal of every single string, due to strange context of addon itself

I waited 15 days until file, now,has been imported to transifex.

But in transifex there is no track of comment from english.po.

Is there a way to force import of comment? I cannot join every l10n team and manually add comment to every string..

How can I help translators if no comment are available ?!

Sorry I did not see the comments. For some reason Transifex only imports "Developer comments" which are marked with "#."

So a commented entry would look like:
Code:
#. To see what's a cache read this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_cache
#. When user click on this item of addon settings, all cached contents are erased
#. so next time the addon need the index of some contents, it will be read from jw.org
#. instead of from cache
msgctxt "#30022"
msgid "Empty cache (force lists update)"
msgstr ""

I already modified your English po file and uploaded. The result is great. The link even shows up as a real link there. Just check:

https://www.transifex.com/projects/p/xbm...g/18031436

Please modify your upstream po file as well, for the next sync to be ready.

Thanks,
cheers,
Attila

Edit: BTW on our wiki page it is also documented. Just check http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Tra...6_Comments

Your are great, I haven't seen the '.' after the sharp in the doc, sorry.

Now I'll modify all commment to match this format in my english strings.po file.

To be sure, please confirm I must use comments ONLY in the english file and these will be used for alla languages automatically

Yes indeed. Only in the English file. All other languages will see them as well.
