Hello!

I followed a tutorial online to get my wireless PS3 controller connected to XMBC (I'm using xbmcbuntu) and while it worked out great, I did come across an issue. When the controller turns off and then I turn it back on by pressing the PS button it connects fine, but I then have to go into XMBC and toggle the gamepad / joystick setting off and then back on. Only then will it start to work again. I have to do this each time I turn the controller on.

Any idea's what might cause this? Thanks!

I remember reading its a Linux SDL issue, but I could be wrong. I need to restart xbmc Linux when connecting wired and wireless 360 controllers too, but not in windows.

Maybe you could make a udev rule to restart xbmc every time a controller is connected.
