I've set up ServerWMC on my machine, which is in New York and uses Time Warner Cable. Every channel seems to be CopyOnce protected. Some channels work fine, but most seem to fail - there are some blocks of color on the screen, and XBMC appears to be constantly pausing and playing over and over. I've got the server log of me watching a channel that works, then flipping to one that does not:

Any ideas? I stopped it from deleting the temp streams, and if I try to play the stream for a faulty channel in WMC it works fine - but it doesn't in XBMC.

EDIT: Looking in the log, the functioning channel appears to be Copy Once, but the fault one is Copy Free. Could that be it?!

It certainly seems that the first is COPY_ONCE and second is COPY_FREE. If anything, you would expect the first one to not work and second one to be OK, not the other way around!

Do these channels work in native WMC?

Is there any possibility of bad signal strength or anything like that?

The server log looks quite normal, both times the server thinks everything is OK.

One thing to further dig into it - Untick the option on Debug tab "delete temporary files" and then go into the Recorded TV\TempXBMC directory and try playing the WTV (original WMC recording) and TS (remuxed TS file streamed to XBMC) and see what they look like. Try playing them from XBMC (add as video source) as well as say something like VLC. Just to gather more data etc
