Go for it! I'd suggest the XDA Linux/XBMC version now that all the bugs (except WIFI on the ATV520) have been dealt with. Also, it uses the Android boot code so all you'd have to do (maybe) is update the XDA image file.

Today I'll try to revert back to Android from XDA Linux/XBMC to see if it'll work for us folks that have had trouble reverting to Android from the Geniatech version.
