How to play videos at startup in a sequence (tricky one)
#1
Hello

I am a newbie to XBMC as well as Raspberry Pi, hence I would deeply appreciate a specific answer.

I intend to accomplish following goals:

0. At startup RaspBMC plays videos
1. Videos are played in the following sequence: A->B->A->B->A->B->A->B->etc
Where two types of videos A and B are:
A. Video "Happy Birthday, little Mary"
B. Random video from a specific folder. Videos will be added to the folder as XBMC runs.

Thanks a lot for your help!

P.S. I am open to off-top suggestions Smile

Best,
AK

not sure if this is possible, because of the random part. Check smart playlists.

you could do that outside of xbmc, with a script that gets a random filename and sends to to xbmc via json or event client.
