Can't get Apple Tv to work with WMC. it can see the server, and I can see my recordings, and channels, just can't play them. it says "working" and then stops. same for tv channels. everything works fine from the computer.

Hi. Please don't take up thread space with whole server logs. Put them in pastbin and post a link here.

Try turning off 'pre-start tuner' in the live-tv tab of serverwmc. Then restart serverwmc (maybe even reboot to make sure the tuner is freed up).

I did that, even rebooted.

Just open the serverlog copy all its contents, go to pastebin.com and paste in the window provided. Post a link to the pastebin page here.

The serverlog you already posted said the tuners were locked up. Double check that wmc can view live tv on the computer that has serverwmc installed.

I been reading this thread http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=178751&page=3

so far I have fixed the time. I think it may be an issue with my "Recorded Tv" folder not being shared, because when I right-click on folder properties, I don't get any share options. I'm running Windows 8.1 with media Center edition. And yes WMC can view live tv on the pc running serverwmc.

This log does not show the same problem as the last one. This is likely just that you have the network path set wrong or the credentials are bad.

Try changing the network path to the recorded tv folder to (see Folders tab):
\\Mike-pc\Users\Public\Recorded TV\

it was set to \\Mike-pc\Users\Public\Recorded TV\ before, but it was saying "This Directory doesn't exists, try again"
so I change it to \\Mike-pc\c\Users\Public\Recorded TV and it saids "Success, path to the network share saved"

I seemed to have fixed it. entering the right username and password, and setting the folder to \\MIKE-PC\Recorded TV fixed it. now I have a buffering problem. is there any way to set the buffering?

Can you give us some detail on what the buffering problem is? Also, are you using a wireless network connection?

it plays for like 2 seconds, and then buffers for like 3 seconds. each time the buffer goes about like 45%.. 50%.. 63%...75%. it does this on any channel.
I'm on a wired network with a 1.0Gbps router and 1Gbps in pc. not sure what the apple is.

Are they HD channels that you are watching?
The XBMC team, plug-in devs, skinners, etc. do this for us for FREE in their spare time because they want to. Think about that for a second before you start bitching...

If you try to watch a recorded program do you see the same behavior or is it only with live broadcast?

I can't seem to to be able play any recordings. it doesn't do anything.I know it's not the connection, because I can play HD movies from my Computer to the Apple Tv with no problem using XBMC.

Wait, you can watch life-tv but recordings don't play? What happens when you try and play a recording?
