Well - it was just a guess as this 'video2' dir is not available on the roms where video-playback is working 
Another question: does it make sense to open a bug report for the dvd-menu problem on trac? I don't want to create some kind of cross posting, but on the other hand it would also be great if someone could fix it, at the moment I'm not sure if I need to create a bug report or not.
