resume playing music on startup
#1
Running Frodo 12.3 in a car PC. What I really need to do is have XBMC autoplay my music, and ideally either shuffle my entire library or just continue playing where I left off last time I was playing music.

I know we can do this with python scripts. I read that the autoexec.py method doesn't work on frodo. Could someone please give me the code needed to do this and tell me where to put the files? I'm running windows 8.1 32 bit, and XBMC is installed in the default directory. My music folder is D:/My Music.

I'd really appreciate any help. I've spent hours reading about this and have not found the answer.

Ok, I'll be the first to ask a stupid question. Have you looked at the Enable Playlist at Startup option?

If I've understood it correctly, you should be able to enable that option and specify a playlist. Perhaps even a smart playlist. I'm not at home right now, so I can't test it myself.

I hope that helps a little.
