I've been looking for a method to do this...
Is there anyway to stream from a server using xbmc and restricting file copy?
I can disable the file manager on xbmc itself,
but on the windows explorer it's another story..
(I'm using win xp btw)
Currently i'm using Samba to play movie from ubuntu server,
but it can't restrict copying without restricting reading
Web based method is not an option for me because alot of formats are not supported..
In explorer I can hide the network folders using registry,
but in explorer the client can just type the server address on the address bar to re-discover it..
Besides, i don't think xbmc would work on hidden shared folder?
Any ideas?
thanks
