Intel® Bay Trail 'OPEN STB'
#16
Sounds interesting. If you could ship ONE system free of charge to a forum member to review (they could send it back) I think you could get a good amoutn of sales. This is the first STB idea I've seen not based on very old tech. I'd be interested for $150 but I'd want it reviewed by someone I trust.

Hi
Yes we have developed a case with an aluminum top that acts as a heatsink to cool the processor.

To answer your original question, yes, I would be interested, if it's not being shipped from China.

7w TDP seems conservative.

Atom E3822 the FIRST google result shows a PDF.
I searched the team Atom E3822 and saw power consumption figures. All of them were below 7W. Quite nice.

Hi

The board and bottom mould are produced in the UK. The aluminum top is die cast in China. Assembly and shipping is from the UK

Hi

The price will reflect exchange rate. There is not a power/reset button, you could use an inline power button if needed.

Now that I have seen the pics I would be interested, also in UK so would love to test. Any plans to include IR remote or does the internal IR work with any WMC remote?
