Hello,

I have a WD my book live connected to a airport extreme router. I also have a ATV2 running xbmc

What is the best way add the drive to xmbc i.e smb, nfs , zeroconfig


I know a lot of people say to use NFS but when I try this my drive is not recognized.


Currently i am using zeroconfig but it seems to be a little slow fetching media and responding as well as a little buffering. Just wondering if there is a better option

The AirPort Extreme has two options: AFP and SMB. Zeroconf is just a way to discover services on your network. AFP support in XBMC isn't very good. Use SMB.
