What overclock are you using? You will need overclock for TrueHD. With arm at 1GHz I can play all my TrueHD sample files.
You will also need to ensure your network is well set up. Can you try the same file from sdcard or usb stick?
I was trying Medium at first:
Code:
# mode 'Medium' : 900 | 333 | 450 | 2
# mode 'High' : 950 | 450 | 450 | 6
# mode 'Turbo' : 1000 | 500 | 500 | 6
At your suggestion I tried Turbo, but that was unstable. I dialed back to High settings with arm_freq set to 1000 and the pi seems stable.
arm_freq=1000
core_freq=450
sdram_freq=450
over_voltage=6
My network speed seems OK (my NFS server is a home built linux HTPC)
Code:
1029446095 bytes (981.8MB) copied, 87.629489 seconds, 11.2MB/s
The good news is that at this overclock setting all my 'normal' TrueHD files are working well. I have passthrough turned off - do TrueHD files honor that setting? Can I turn it back on for AC3 and DTS?
I do still have one problem movie. I realize this is going to be a challenging one for the pi. This is the Akira Blu-ray with a high sampling rate:

All three of the audio tracks - even the stereo - have some problems. I tried changing the resample setting to low(fast) and subtitles off but it did not help. The next thing I'll try is local playback to see if that makes a difference. Also I might see if I can get a better power supply to go up to full Turbo overclock settings.
In any case, 99% of my library will play well now ... thanks for your help!
