OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi Part 2
(2014-04-02, 16:55)da-anda Wrote: Yes, I'm on WiFi. Will use the wlan param for next debugging round Smile

Any errors in dmesg log?
Can you run this test with wired ethernet to rule out the wif being an issue?
Can you try again with "dwc_otg.fiq_fsm_enable=0" included in cmdline.txt?
here is a fraction of the dmesg log http://pastebin.com/TEi4Se6d
The only thing I could read from that is a probably bad sdcard?

edit: i'm also on IRC if that helps for faster debugging Smile

(2014-04-01, 22:15)MilhouseVH Wrote: Try "dwc_otg.fiq_fsm_enable=0" in place of "dwc_otg.fiq_enable=0"

Basically the same thing! Confused

Code:
dwc_otg.fiq_enable=1 dwc_otg.fiq_fsm_enable=1 dwc_otg.fiq_fsm_mask=0x3 root=/dev/ram0 rdinit=/init BOOT_IMAGE=/kernel.img dma.dmachans=0x7f35 bcm2708_fb.fbwidth=1920 bcm2708_fb.fbheight=984 bcm2708.boardrev=0xf bcm2708.serial=0x9fb56012 smsc95xx.macaddr=B8:27:EB:B5:60:12 sdhci-bcm2708.emmc_clock_freq=250000000 vc_mem.mem_base=0x1ec00000 vc_mem.mem_size=0x20000000  boot=/dev/mmcblk0p1 disk=/dev/mmcblk0p2 dwc_otg.fiq_fsm_enable=0 quiet textmode

OK, I've tried (1) a new install, (2) a new SD card, and (3) a new PI. 1 and 2 still had the same problem. 3 didn't so I've ordered a new Pi. My two Pis were in the 2nd batch to ever be made and one of the Pis has always been slightly slower than the other Pi to download things.
Are you sure you are looking at the correct line of the "dmesg | grep FIQ" output?
Where "dwc_otg.fiq_enable=0" does nothing for me but gives me:
Code:
[    1.657197] WARN::hcd_init:473: FIQ at 0xc04d2884
[    1.657217] WARN::hcd_init:474: FIQ ASM at 0xc04d296c length 36
[    1.659409] dwc_otg: FIQ enabled
[    1.659440] dwc_otg: FIQ split-transaction FSM enabled
Note the "enabled" behind both lines.

"dwc_otg.fiq_fsm_enable=0" does give me:
Code:
[    1.657197] WARN::hcd_init:473: FIQ at 0xc04d2884
[    1.657217] WARN::hcd_init:474: FIQ ASM at 0xc04d296c length 36
[    1.659409] dwc_otg: FIQ enabled
[    1.659440] dwc_otg: FIQ split-transaction FSM disabled
Note the "disabled" only behind only the second line.

I tried just "dwc_otg.fiq_enable=0" before, giving me the same connection issues, I'm now testing with "dwc_otg.fiq_fsm_enable=0". Let's see what happens.

For the record, my cmdline.txt:
Code:
boot=/dev/mmcblk0p1 disk=/dev/mmcblk0p2 dwc_otg.fiq_fsm_enable=0 quiet

Can you run: "dmesg | pastebinit" (and then paste the URL) as the text in your laste pastebin is pretty garbled and unreadable, although it does look like a problem with the SD card or driver...

Yes, that dmesg log looks like the sdcard is unhappy.
Can you run the test again with a different sdcard?
With the builds 401 and 402 I cann't access my NFS storage. I see the folder structure, but cannot access it. Here is the log: http://pastebin.com/gduh6Z42

Can you reproduce in a recent OpenELEC master nightly? libnfs has been updated in OpenELEC, so you should see the same problem there. I'm using NFS (FreeNAS 8.3.x) but so far no problems (touch wood) - what is your NFS server?

I tried a few youtube videos and they played fine. Do you have latest youtube add-on installed?
Anyone else seeing this?

As Milhouse says, debug log.

I have the same on the OpenELEC master nighty! I have an Ubuntu 13.10 server with NFS. Default NFS installation.
headsup, same issue with wired network. Seems to be sdcard related, see these lines from top

@MilhouseVH
sorry, haven't seen your edited post. My storage is a 8 GB sdcard, file system should be EXT4 (or whatever OE install script used)
edit: yes, it's ext4

I successfully updated my library on my Synology DS414 with DSM 5.0u1 using NFS....

Probably needs to be brought to the attention of the OpenELEC developers - can you open an issue?

I can manually mount the NFS shares on the command prompt, I can access the files. So it's more a XBMC problem than an OpenELEC problem?

Also had problems playing youtube videos. See errors from my log at: http://pastebin.com/3GBDZg2e

I fixed it by deleting everything from "~/.xbmc/userdata/addon_data/plugin.video.youtube/" except "settings.xml" and emptying the "value" attribute of "search" in "settings.xml". May be this helps?
Thanks guys for this great work once more.

I've got multichannel audio working with paplayer via HDMI speaker configuration 7.1

DTS 7.1 is passed through perfect. Multichannel FLAC is working fine as well.

Just one question ... is upmixing of 2 channel mp3 files possible ... at the moment if I'm trying to play "normal" 2 channel mp3 files only my two front speakers are working.
