I am currently getting and unraid server up and running (HP Microserver) and have a question my mysql.

Are the files stored on the server or are they download to each machines internal drive. The reason i ask is I only have a 32gb SSD on one machine and found that the xbmc data folder grew to over 5gb. To solve this I symlinked it to an external drive I had attached to the machine.

I am going to wipe this machine the 32gb one and reinstall windows 7 as its been there over a year and needs a good clean out. Will be doing this after get server working.

The mySQL database files are stored on the machine running mySQL.

The biggest part of the 5GB should be fanart.

I'm not shure if these are stored in the DB or locally on each machine.
