Good Android Mini PC that's NOT a RockChip?
#1
I was just wondering if anyone knew of any good Android Mini PCs out there that were NOT RockChip based boxes? Reason I ask about something other than RockChip is because I had a Minix Neo X7 and it would shut down and reboot when trying to use WatchESPN, or the CBS app, or a lot of things that have DRM. From what I read that's a known problem with RockChip processors?

I was wondering if there was any other good Android Mini PCs out there NOT based on those chips. Exynos maybe?

Thanks for the advice.

Have you tried updating it. http://www.minixforums.com/threads/neo-x...2014.3898/. Looks like they come out with a new firmware almost every month. So plenty of support, give them a chance to iron it out.

Maybe to try Amlogic?

Quad core is out and not so expensive:

That sounds like an issue with crappy firmware rather than it being a chipset issue. Any chipset can have crappy firmware released for it.

This has the Samsung Octacore and runs XBMC and every video thrown in so smoothly!

Well he's referring more to the app side of Android rather than XBMC itself. App compatibility on some of the Chinese Arm SoC's has not always been quite 100% when it comes to DRM video app/sites.

I'd go with Samsung suggestion too and see if that works out, might want to check their forums first.
