OK I've submitted a backport PR for consideration in the Helix point release, although I have no idea what their acceptance criteria are and where they are at in the release cycle. It could well only be "crash bugs only" etc

sorry for crossposting...

I 've post a tread regarding images in EPG in the "main-PVR-section" but than I found this tread.
I don't use WMC as backend but I think the "issue" could be the same...

I VDR is it possible to merge images into epg.data. So I've installes the epgd and the epg2vdr-plugin...
Now it is possible to store epg images in VDR... in vdr-Live-plugin you can use it...

So question is if with the merges pull request from here the images would be shown in epg?

Well my fix makes sure they are stored in the Kodi database and shown in confluence skin, so as long as your pvr addon populates the correct strIconPath field on Epg items it should work

You can always try a helix 15.0 alpha nightly build and see for yourself

thanks for that... so I will try today evening.
One more thing, I use not the epg.db in kodi i allways disable that in pvr-setting to use the epg.data on the backend...

The Kodi database is just like a cache, the data all comes from your backend so it doesn't matter if you have that option set in Kodi to "not store Epg in db"

I get no images in the guide either. I don't even see the movie rating or parental rating.

It seems strIconPath is not stored in Kodi's EPG database so i compiled a version of the client plugin that stores the EPG image URL in strPlotOutline. Is this something you guys can fix in a future update? or do we have to wait for Kodi Dev to implement striconPath into the database. I also noticed original airdate is not stored in epgdb.

I got the guide icons working with Kodi v15 Raspberry Pi2 Build #304 using MyChannelLogos. Well worth the donation.
