The premise is simple. When having gatherings, people could search for a song in your library, add it to the playlist, then others could vote it up or down via the associated phone app. For some reason, the Piq team decided to create dedicated hardware that would cost around $100. Pretty obvious why it didn't get funded. Hell, they even did all of their development and testing on $35 Raspberry Pi!!!
So I figured this would be an excellent, and fun, add-on for XBMC if maintaining playlists in such a manner was possible. Possibly integrate with existing phone apps, as an add-on, like Yatse.
