I would like to develop an Android application to send custom XBMC notifications to a specific XBMC instance on demand, I thought I'd post here in case anyone knows of an existing app that does this?
To illustrate the use case: Yesterday, my girlfriend was watching TV in the bedroom and I was watching TV in the lounge (2 separate XBMC installations). I was too lazy to get up, so I thought I'd message her, but she never checks her phone. So instead I composed a URL to perform a JSON-RPC request to send her a message - that got her attention!
I thought of building a XBMC addon, but I think an android app would be more flexible. App would allow management (maybe even autodetect) of XBMC instances, and simply do JSON RPC calls to send messages (XBMC notifications) to the selected XBMC instance.
So if you know of any existing app that already does this, please post here so I don't duplicate efforts
