The critic was: Great job and the + reinforced just that critic which was all positive imo.
What came after is a matter of fact on my preferences not a critic, but ya

Sorry to revive this thread, but I think I have the same problem as the OP...
I'm running Helix 14.0, and overnight, Kodi just started showing the debug information up the top left corner in white text. My debug log level is set to '1' in advanced settings, but this morning I also tried added the 'hide="true"' attribute but it made no difference. I'm using the 1080XF skin. Has anyone got any suggestions?

Because the "hide=true" option doesn't hide the info on screen. See
Debug log (wiki).

hide = true = remove the 'Enable Debugging' option in the GUI, as Ned points out. You've almost certainly got tied up with enabling/disabling - see my post about 8 above yours.
1. Remove the hide= in advancedsettings
2. Remove the loglevel = in advancedsettings
3. Reboot/restart Kodi
4. If the debug text isn't showing, stop and do something else
5. If the debug text is showing, navigate through Settings to disable debugging
6. If the debug text is still showing now, restart and post your logfile

Thanks for your help guys - in the end it was the skin that had autoupdated - they'd left some flag on. During the day it autoupdated again now the text is gone.
