has anyone seen the winamp cd case plugin?

it uses a png of a jewel case over the album art, and it looks awesome!

i like to have the info bar up on the vis so i can see the album art and track info, i just thought this would look pretty!

there is a thread on the pm forums (http://chokemaniac.xbmc.org) about how to do this. you can also look at the 'orbs' skin, i think it has it implimented.

i have integrated your case.png quick&dirty into the musicoverlay.xml...

here is the result:

looks not really perfect, because i only changed the order of music_retangle and music_thumb, i dont changend the image sizes in the xmls...

would be great if a real skinner could do this...?

thats exactly what i had in mind!

the template is nice indeed but still i want to keep the icons simple

most likely wont add it to pm3

its not too hard to implement it yourself tho - grab "the orbs" and do some reverse engineering

as affini said, my boards will help you to pull this off, too
